Argentina/Chile
“Our holiday in Argentina was terrific. Having never been to North-west Argentina before I was completely amazed and entranced by the beauty and magestic scenery that we encountered. Difficult to pick one highlight as there were so many. Campo Piedra Pomez, Las Senoritas Gorge and the Serranias del Hornocal are just a few of the beautiful places we visited. All the arrangements went very smoothly, apart from the bus delay and then the electrical blackout in Chile! We could say it all added to our adventure!

Mexico
“Thank you for arranging the trip which worked really well and it’s another one ticked off the bucket list. All the guides were really great, very enthusiastic, knowledgeable and proud of their heritage. With a trip like this it is always difficult to pick out the highlights - so many places and sights! Mexico City was vibrant and interesting but we weren’t sorry to leave the smog behind. Oaxaca and Campeche were our favourite cities - both colonial-style hotels and buildings make you feel you have arrived in the real Mexico. They were relaxed and friendly, good places to visit. If we have to choose a favourite archaeological site it would be the small Kabah site which we arrived at quite early in the morning. It was so quiet we had it almost to ourselves.It was quite right to include the day of relaxation at the Hacienda Santa Rosa. After lots of travelling and visits it was good to have a rest. Likewise, the final days on the beachside Ana y José in Tulum were just right.” - S&JH travelled in February 2025
Ecuador/Galapagos
“Our trip was amazing. We were so impressed with how organised everything was, it really was ridiculously easy for us. At every point there was someone waiting who knew exactly where we should be going, what we needed etc.
I know that most people go to the Amazon before Galapagos, which I understand, but for us I preferred the order in which we did it. I think I would have been wishing the time away waiting to head to Galapagos, and our kids thought that the wildlife experience was just as good. On that point, we were really lucky. We finished Galapagos snorkeling with hammerheads, Galapagos and white tip reef sharks. We also got to swim with penguins, sea lions, turtles and so many fish. We are generally spoiled at home in terms of snorkeling/diving but this was incredible. At Napo, in the Amazon, we got to see the giant river otters hunting, carrying their young and generally messing around which was incredible. So at the risk of waffling on, our wildlife encounters were incredible and not just for the twitchers in the family.
The respective accommodations were excellent. We were very lucky on our boat that we were with a lovely family. Given that it was so small, it would have been a very different experience if they weren't so lovely. The guides we had were all very knowledgeable and friendly.

Argentina/Uruguay
“We had a fabulous holiday thank you! We loved Casa Glebinias near Mendoza - a garden paradise with large rooms and good food. The wine tasting day was amazing ending up at Quinmerino with its tasting menu and stunning views. Salta too was brilliant and our guide fantastic. Finca valentina was by far our favourite hotel and we so needed a flop by the pool after long days travelling around the region. We loved Buenos Aires and both hotels there were a hit. Montevideo was possibly a step too far (our fault of course) as by three weeks in we were pretty tired. But we loved the hotel, the old town, and it was great to see our niece. Overall a wonderful trip - 8 flights, 8 hotels and a ferry and all worth it. Thank you again, we're now huge fans of South America!” - N&DC travelled in February 2026
Mexico
“Thanks so much! I wanted to write and say thank you so much for all of your help and all of your planning! We had a great time. We LOVED our guide in Oaxaca - he is amazing and knows so much! Our full day with him and visiting Monte Alban and visiting the family for lunch (and to see their weaving/rugs), that was definitely a highlight. “We had a very successful trip. The itinerary worked out well and we felt we got a good sense of Chile as a whole without too many flights. We particularly enjoyed Cerro Guido, the tour around Arica province, and also enough time to relax in Santiago and see the Pre-Columbian Museum and some of the parks, based from the excellent Le Reve Hotel.” - JE travelled in November 2023
Costa Rica
“We had a great trip and saw a lot of interesting wildlife and enjoyed some unusual experiences. We only scratched the surface of Costa Rica. All the places we stayed were great, especially Amor Arenal and Arenas del Mar. Argentina
“We had a fantastic time in Argentina, thank you, it was a great adventure.
The boys had a memorable time shooting in Cordoba (I had a go too) and Estancia Pampa Grande was something very special (and, yes, I rode - another achievement!). The guides looked after us very well, we ate like kings and the accommodation was fabulous. The falls were very impressive and it was great to see them on both sides, the scenery in the Salta region amazing and the estancia was heaven! Beautiful people, lots of things to discover and treated like royalty.
All in all, we had the most amazing time, which ran super-smoothly and professionally. We were so well looked after all the way around and would recommend these places to our friends.” - MA travelled in February 2026

“In a nutshell we had an amazing experience. Some extraordinarily beautiful scenery/landscapes, great people (particularly the Chileans we met), some fantastic food (everywhere) and simply a great vibe wherever we went. The only downside I would have to say is that we did too much. Looking back we could easily have spent 4 weeks just in Chile, but the temptation to see as many places as we could got the better of us and now we need a holiday to recover! “Overall our 4 week holiday to Chile and Argentina was exceptional. Every day was different, all our guides were excellent and your little green booklet was invaluable. You took into consideration all our interests and worked within our budget to put together a trip to suit us. It was the perfect mix of guided excursions combined with some free days to be more independent, and do our own thing. The Atacama more than exceeded our expections, having a hire car in the Chilean lake district suited us very well and our stay at Cerro Guido in Patagonia was a real highlight. In Argentina we had an excellent day visiting Perito Moreno Glacier and did some great hiking, and a bike ride, in El Chalten in Los Glaciares National Park. Buenos Aires is great city and La Bandada in the Pampas was wonderful. We learnt so much and felt very spoilt at times - thank you again for organising such a wonderful trip, we will have no hesitation in recommending Last Frontiers.” - BF travelled in November 2025
Costa Rica
“Overall the itinerary was great and we felt the number of night stays in each location was about right. Our local representative was absolutely great, a very good communicator and was really ‘on it’ in terms of keeping us up to date on everything. The Costa Rican people are all delightful and generally extremely welcoming and the level of spoken English was exceptional. The internal flights were good and obviously got us around quickly but we really did enjoy having the freedom to explore in our rental car. A great holiday, thank you very much for all your help and advice, and we feel that overall we did get to really explore the country which is, of course, helped by having a car to go off and do your own thing. Driving in Costa Rica was easy once you’d become accustomed to the local traits.” - SJ travelled in February 2024
